New White Sands National Park Gallery is Live!

Sunrise at White Sands National Park

I just published the gallery from my December 2022 trip to Alamogordo, New Mexico. Click here to see my images.

Following my week at Bosque, I spent a weekend in Alamogordo where I visited White Sands National Park. White Sands is a vast park of white gypsum sand dunes, which look almost like it’s snow-covered. The dunes become magically lit at sunrise and sunset, not only from the brilliant colours of golden hour, but also from the low sun bringing out the shadows in the sand ripples among the dunes. And speaking of it looking like it’s snow-covered, they actually allow people to toboggan/sled down the dunes!

I just published the gallery from my December 2022 trip to Socorro, New Mexico. Click here to see my images.

This trip was primarily a wildlife/bird photography trip and while there, I visited both Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge and Bernardo Wildlife Area. Both were great locations to photograph migratory birds primarily, Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese.

After Socorro, I spent the weekend in Alamogordo, New Mexico where I visited White Sands National Park. White Sands is a vast park of white gypsum sand dunes. Stay tuned for those images.
